Body Percussion and Basics of Cajón
The percussion workshops offer a unique experience that combines music, play, and the development of motor skills in children. Through interactive activities, participants have the opportunity to explore body percussion techniques and the basics of playing the cajón, with an emphasis on collective participation and teamwork.
Each workshop lasts between 60 to 90 minutes and is designed to encourage the development of motor skills, playing techniques, and a sense of rhythm through rhythmic patterns and play. At the end of the workshop, children will be able to perform several rhythmic patterns together, fostering mutual listening and collaboration.
One of the key advantages of this project is the ability to repeat the learned methods and rhythmic patterns in the space where the workshops are held, even without the presence of performers from the Samobor Percussion Association. This enables the long-term retention and application of acquired knowledge and skills.
Scientific Evidence on the Impact of Workshops
The workshops are supported by scientifically documented research that demonstrates numerous positive effects of group pulse and motor development on human psychophysiology:
- They reduce tension, anxiety, and stress, promoting deep relaxation.
- They integrate the activity of the left and right, as well as the front and back parts of the brain.
- They increase psychomotor coordination, perception, attention, and memory.
- They stimulate creative potential and expand mental capabilities.
- They help release negative cellular memory and emotional distress.
- The physical stimulation of drumming enhances alpha brainwaves associated with feelings of happiness and well-being.
- They boost self-confidence and strengthen non-verbal communication.
- They provide a healthy workout for both body and mind, offering a unique personal expression.
- They foster laughter and create a deep sense of community and belonging.
