SUDAR TRADICIJA (Sudar-LADO-Jazz Orchestra of Croatian Radio and Television) – the stage is probably too small

A new project that was presented on 01.10.2022. in Zagreb at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall – SUDAR TRADICIJA. The Croatian Folk Dance and Song Ensemble LADO, the Croatian Radio and Television Orchestra and the Sudar Percussion Ensemble present the diversity and beauty of traditional music from all over Croatia in a new and innovative way. Thus, through more than ten compositions arranged by Marko First, Aleksandar Vešić, Ivana Kuljerić Bilić and Zoran Šćekić, you can hear characteristic types of singing from individual Croatian regions, such as Istrian tarankanja, ojkanja, klapa singing, etc.
The idea of ​​the project is to bring traditional music closer to all generations in a unique way and to connect 40 musicians from three different ensembles with a distinctive sound.
At the heart of the project are, in addition to Croatian traditional instruments and vocals by the artists of the LADO Ensemble, various types of percussion played by members of the Sudar Percussion Ensemble, as well as specific instruments from the excellent Croatian Radio and Television Jazz Orchestra. It is traditional music arranged specifically for these three ensembles.
