Igor Vugrek’s journey into the world of music began at the age of 10, when his love for drums grew into a great passion. As his appetite and passion for the instrument increased, he began searching for the best teacher. He studied privately with his first and true professor, Nenad Šimunčić, who was a professor at the Varaždin Music School.

Igor successfully led the drum ensemble Rudiment (drumline), but his ambitions kept growing, and he finally decided to study in the United States at LACM College of Music. There, he played and studied with some of the best in the industry, such as Ralph Humphrey (Frank Zappa, Al Jarreau), Gayr Ferguson, Dave Beyer (Christopher Cross), Joe Porcaro (Toto, Madonna), Richie Garcia (Sting, Phil Collins), Jerry Watts, Philip Bynoe, and many others.
