Goran Gorše is an academic musician, percussionist, and percussion professor with the title of excellent advisor. He has been the leader and founder of the Sudar Percussion ensemble since 2010. As a pedagogical mentor, he shapes the younger generation of top percussionists, and his achievements have been recognized through numerous awards from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, HDGPP, and the County and City of Samobor.
Since 2014, Goran has initiated the founding of a professional percussion council at the national level in Croatia. In the same year, he became a member of the judging panel at regional and national competitions organized by HDGPP in the Percussion category, and he has also participated as a juror at international competitions such as Sonus and Temsig (Slovenia).
In 2015, he was appointed as the head of the percussion expert council of the Republic of Croatia.
As an artist, he has initiated many projects, musical collaborations, and programs for Sudar Percussion. He has performed with some of the most renowned names in the global percussion scene, including Ivana Bilić, Ney Rosauro, Rachel Xi Zang, Paolo Cimmino, Dane Richeson, Maraca2, Emanuel Sejourne, the LADO ensemble, the Tambura and Jazz Orchestras of HRT, the Zagreb Soloists, Stefan Milenkovich, Božo Vrećo, Matej Meštrović, and others.
He leads numerous percussion workshops for all generations and is a co-founder of the International Percussion Seminar (ISPF).
